We all have heard it before. The story of an outsider. A person who leaves his hometown and joins another community, getting the attention and treated with respect for making the ‘right’ decision. It would be an added bonus if that person embraces the religion of that community.
Most of the time, there is a hidden story that we fail to see. In certain communities, it is acceptable to leave and move to a better environment. Otherwise, that person will be ostracized and condemned for performing that ‘sinful’ act of leaving the community and religion.
Analogy: A painter is paid by the amount of work he does, not by the colour he paints.
