Time never stops, we all go through many phases of our life and meet new people, get into relationships and walk a unique path. One day our time will come to an end. The people who were once so close to you will drift away and it really hurts to experience that phase.
People change and we just have to deal with it whether we like it or not. The people who you enjoy laughing with, the ones who you exchange endless stories with can drift apart and it feels awkward to see them after a long separation. It’s as if we are meeting them for the first time but we actually know them inside out. We tend to blame them for changing, but the fact is we fail to look at the mirror and realise that sometimes it’s not them. We are to be blamed for not making an effort to keep in touch during the process of growing up.
Most of us claim that our childhood was memorable yet silly. We are not proud of that kid in our past. What’s even worst is that we don’t even talk to the person beside us in the photo that was taken during childhood days and some of them are our own family. When we meet at family reunions, the longest conversation we can have is “Hi, how are you doing” and the reply would be “good, how about you.” Maybe it’s puberty which makes us ashamed to speak, probably we don’t feel worthy enough to share with them our life experiences.
I feel that everyone should keep photos as it is the only way to keep memories when everything else changes. We would share with our kids in the future on the people who made an impact to us but we wouldn’t have time to arrange a reunion with them. Hurts, doesn’t it?
The thoughts that we have can have a huge impact on us, if we feed our mind with negative thoughts, it could lead to hatred, greed and sometimes lust.
