The Desirable Imposter

If you need to sacrifice to find love, then it won’t be worth it. Finding love is not the same as staying in love. Sacrifices are usually worth it to keep the spark in a relationship alive.

Finding love is the initial phase to get to know someone. If one needs to change their habits/lifestyle just to be more noticeable, the benefits would be short term. This is one of the reasons why most relationships don’t last. We hide our true identities so that we can seek the love that we lack.

The missing puzzle piece isn’t necessarily the love from that special someone. Rather, it is called self-love, the type of love we fail to give to ourselves.

When the purpose of finding a partner is to complete us, it becomes a hunt for survival. We become a desirable imposter, attractive to the external world but repulsive to our true self.
