Thanksgiving in Toronto

I know that it’s a bit too late to talk about this experience which occurred a month ago. It’s worth the post, trust me?

I decided to travel to Toronto, Canada during thanksgiving, the week of Black Friday. Visiting Canada was one of the places I had on my bucket list. I managed to get a decent value for the tickets just a week before the trip.

It was a solo trip for me as well and you might think I’m crazy but it was definetly one of the best decisions I made. I managed to get an accommodation which costs under $50 for 2 nights. What a steal!

Traveling alone on this trip gave me the time and space for me to be grateful and appreciate life. It gave me so much time to reflect and ponder about certain plans I have for the future.

I was slightly worried as i would not have access to the Internet as I need it as a GPS. Surprisingly, I could detect my location offline. I felt delighted!

The next day, I visited a few tourist attractions located at the downtown area.

         Casa Loma

While traveling on the train, I realized that there weren’t as many locals. It reminded me of Singapore. The efficiency  of the public transport system in Toronto was excellent!

I was mesmerized by the features of most Canadian girls, they had a sharp nose, with captivating eyes and a fair complexion. To add on to that, they usually wear a scarf and boots, I find that really elegant. I didn’t snap a picture of them, trust me.

Here are some of the pictures of the beautiful and clean city

Sadly, the end of my journey wasn’t a good one. I missed my flight by a few minutes due to a very slow check-in process at the airport. I arrived 2 hours before my flight time. There were others who missed their flights as well.

Fortunately, they gave me the next flight which was a few hours later. I knew I would not make it to board the bus from the airport back to Purdue.

Upon reaching the bus station, I found out that all the buses on that day were fully booked. This meant that I had to stay the night. I tried my luck by being on the waitlist for the next bus. After all the passengers boarded, I was told that there was an empty seat remaining. At this moment, I was loss for words. I was screaming at the top of my head. I’m glad to witness and experience such a miracle. Destiny was really kind to me.

Im currently at the airport, waiting for my next flight. Looking forward to share more experiences here!
